Territory Sales Manager
Houston, Texas (TX/LA)
A worldwide leader of machine tool solutions is hiring a Sales Specialist to join its rapidly growing team. The Sales Specialist will manage both geographical industrial accounts and specific key accounts within the Texas and Louisiana territory. Product line includes: vertical/horizontal honing machines, tooling and abrasive products
$85,000 + Uncapped commissions, up to $150,000 expected
Up to 50% Travel Required (5 overnights/month)
The Territory Sales Manager will be responsible for:
- Closing and growing sales with existing and potential clients
- Identifying new leads and developing new accounts by doing research, soliciting new business and building connections
- Providing technical information and advice
- Identifying and resolving client concerns, recommending a solution to alleviate future issues.
- Expanding market awareness of company products
- Conducting tests to utilize value add documentation to drive new sales revenue
- Providing management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
- Maintaining knowledge of competitor products, identifying and reporting intelligence on competitor pricing marketing strategies
- Collaborating with other departments to ensure customer project requirements are met on time.
- Maintaining customer accounts.
- Managing reports on consignment programs
- Expense reporting
- Attending and participating in trade shows, conferences and other marketing events.
The Territory Sales Manager will excel with:
- Bachelor’s Degree and/or equivalent experience is required
- 2-3 years experience in a technical sales position, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Proven analytical, negotiating problem-solving and organization skills are necessary
- Skilled with time and territory management
- Experience with value-added selling and cost down activity
- CRM Experience (preferably Microsoft Dynamics0
- Ability to conduct professional presentations both internally/externally
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
- Strong communications skills (verbal & written)
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Self-starter, self-motivated, & ability to work unsupervised
- Quality oriented with a sense of urgency to get result within a timely manner
- Ability to lift 25 pounds
- Valid drivers’ license
- Valid Passport
The Territory Sales Manager will be responsible for:
- $85,000 Annual Salary
- Uncapped commissions, up to $150,000 total compensation
