A world-leading manufacturer of multi-axis CNC machinery is hiring for a Regional Sales Manager who has proven to excel with strategic business development of custom engineered solutions to distributors, dealers, and end-users into new markets and applications. 

Dallas, Texas 

$85,000+ base pay, dependent on experience + Commission + Bonus + Profit Share 

The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for:

  • Meeting established sales objectives through distributor sales organization that secures maximum sales to support the division operating plan including performing and directing the following sales activities:
  • Managing territory Distributor Sales Organization by setting goals and objectives across all levels of project sales.
  • Establishing short and long-term business plans for region covering future investment areas.
  • Developing distributors to maximum utilization and opportunity within region through training, appraisal, and counseling and strategy development.
  • Evaluating market potential with distributors to identify new customers for all levels of project sales such as quick-sale and turnkey.  Maintaining existing distributor and customer relationships to expand new-business potential within existing customers.
  • Receiving and submitting a monthly report from distributors identifying opportunities, closed-won, close-lost (reasons), etc. for all levels of project sales.
  • Utilizing and maintaining company CRM including lead nurturing, opportunity management, account, and distributor maintenance according to company standards.
  • Supplying required documents and project information to the Proposals Department to generate accurate and complete quotes for customers.
  • Reviewing customer quotations, economic justifications, arrange and conduct product demonstrations and project negotiations to close-win orders.
  • Preparing and supplying technical documents, manuals, machine and systems data needed by distributors and customers as needed.
  • Assisting customers in preparing for machine installation, including appropriate customer training and selection of accessories such as tooling and repair parts.
  • Preparing sales forecast through Company CRM, sales activity reports, market analysis and market share information, competitive and industry trends, and monthly updates to keeps management informed of trends and activities in the territory.
  • Maintaining an effective relationship with other Field Sales and Service personnel and other functions and represents the Machine Tools Division to promote good business and community relationships.

    The Regional Sales Manager will be rewarded with:

    • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university preferred
    • Minimum of three to five years of experience selling numerically controlled machine tools for an OEM is ideal
    • Demonstrated management experience or potential, strong leadership and mentoring ability to work with dealers
    • Strong analytical ability in marketing, and management areas.
    • General business and technical aptitude, potential, or background. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
    • Experience managing and working with distribution network is a plus. Salesforce experience is a plus.
