Project Electrician
A global leader in beverage manufacturing is looking for a Project Electrician. The Project Electrician will perform wiring power, controls, and communications wiring, conduit installations and panel fabrications to support new installations and equipment overhauls, upgrades, and repairs.
Suffolk, VA
$28/h to $35/h + Quarterly Bonuses
The Project Electrician will be responsible for:
- Working directly with outside contractors and machinery vendor representatives/technicians in supporting equipment overhauls/installations
- Troubleshooting and performing adjustments and repairs necessary during startup of equipment and systems
- Ability to work on manlifts and elevated platforms
- Supporting ongoing plant production goals by performing the following
- Performing other duties as assigned. This will involve working with other crafts and working on non-electrical tasks.
- Performing emergency repairs on electrical equipment as needed.
- Using plant vehicles to safely move and access equipment for interim staging and installation (Fork trucks & Manlifts)
- Comprehending electrical schematic drawings and follow technical instructions
- Knowledge of NEC (National Electrical Code)
- Maintaining a clean as you go policy
- Maintaining safe work habits and a safe work environment
The Project Electrician will excel with:
- Must have 3 years’ experience performing electrical installations and repairs – journeyman electrician’s license preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Demonstrated diagnostic trouble shooting skills in previous positions
- Precision measuring ability and technical reading/writing skills
- Demonstrated electrical fabrication and assembly skills
- Good interpersonal skills are necessary for both internal and external communication
- Ability to learn plant computer systems. Email, internet usage, training videos, etc.
- Organizational and time management skills required
The Project Electrician will be rewarded with:
