A global leader in beverage manufacturing is looking for a Project Electrician. The Project Electrician will perform wiring power, controls, and communications wiring, conduit installations and panel fabrications to support new installations and equipment overhauls, upgrades, and repairs.

Suffolk, VA

$28/h to $35/h + Quarterly Bonuses

The Project Electrician will be responsible for:

• Working directly with outside contractors and machinery vendor representatives/technicians in supporting equipment overhauls/installations
• Troubleshooting and performing adjustments and repairs necessary during startup of equipment and systems
• Ability to work on manlifts and elevated platforms
• Supporting ongoing plant production goals by performing the following
• Performing other duties as assigned. This will involve working with other crafts and working on non-electrical tasks.
• Performing emergency repairs on electrical equipment as needed.
• Using plant vehicles to safely move and access equipment for interim staging and installation (Fork trucks & Manlifts)
• Comprehending electrical schematic drawings and follow technical instructions
• Knowledge of NEC (National Electrical Code)
• Maintaining a clean as you go policy
• Maintaining safe work habits and a safe work environment

The Project Electrician will excel with:

• Must have 3 years’ experience performing electrical installations and repairs – journeyman electrician’s license preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Demonstrated diagnostic trouble shooting skills in previous positions
• Precision measuring ability and technical reading/writing skills
• Demonstrated electrical fabrication and assembly skills
• Good interpersonal skills are necessary for both internal and external communication
• Ability to learn plant computer systems. Email, internet usage, training videos, etc.
• Organizational and time management skills required
