An industry-leading OEM of turnkey machinery and automation solutions is seeking an Electrical Design & Controls Engineer with expert level PLC programming solutions to meet customer and company project goals. Day to Day Life of the Electrical Design & Controls Engineer:
- Project planning and implementation of controls systems
- Overseeing project workflow and support internal and external resources to ensure timely delivery of projects, expected quality, and allotted budget.
- Participating in product reviews and work with Project and Product Engineering to ensure proper implementation.
- Providing technical support to external and internal customers for new systems.
- Verification and validation of engineered system (hardware and/or software) to specifications.
- Participating in the machine inspection and run-off process to ensure conformance to design and equipment specifications, compliance with operational and safety standards and that machinery functions as required to meet customer expectations
The Automation Control Engineer will be compensated with:
- $80,000-$110,000 Dependent on Experience

The ideal Automation Controls Engineering candidate will have:
- Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering BSEE
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with PLC programming (ideally structured text)
- Ability to learn new control platforms and program proficiently
- Project management experience and strong electrical and control system skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate and interact with others and communicate technical concepts both written and verbally.
- Must be a creative problem solver that is results oriented, focused and attentive with the ability to maintain a high level of accuracy.
- Experience in 3 phase 480v service highly preferred
- Be a self-starter with the ability to prioritize, multi-task, meet deadlines, and a team player.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to travel domestically by air or car on a regular basis with the ability to obtain a valid passport for occasional international travel.
- Background, MVR and pre-employment drug screen required.
- Have a tactful demeanor with customers.
- Be willing to step up as lead on the Controls team.
- Experience in full turnkey solutions machinery and systems realm.
