Field Service Technician

Field Service Technician                                                       Up to 90% travel required

An innovative, leading OEM of automation and industrial robotics is hiring Field Service Technician. The Field Service Technician will install and service automated material handling machinery at company and customer sites.

$27.00-$30.00 hourly pay

Must be near major NC airport (within 50 miles of Charlotte, North Carolina or Raleigh, North Carolina)

The Field Service Technician will be responsible for:

• Installing, commissioning, and repairing custom engineered material handling machinery
• Equipment maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical or mechanical problems, diagnosis and repairs on customer sites.
• Advising and assisting in selection of ordering tools and repair parts.
• Keeping electronic records of installation and service expense reports.
• Assisting sales, engineers and project managers as needed.
• Maintaining exceptional customer relationships.

The Field Service Technician will excel with:

• Associates degree in Electrical, Electronics or Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Field Service Tech or 4 years of material handling industry experience.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
• Mechanical aptitude and skills
• Working experience on AC/DC Motors, mechanical gear boxes, and gear reducers
• Familiarity with stacker cranes, conveyors and/or AGVS
• Ability to use Microsoft Office Programs
• Ability to read and understand equipment drawings
• Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
• Excellent customer service skills
• Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
• Must be able to bend, crawl, sit, stand, crouch for extended periods of time.
