Facilities Maintenance Technician

Snelling Staffing Services is looking for Facility Maintenance Technicians ($17.50/hr+ DOE) with an interest in joining a maintenance team at an automotive plant on the south side of San Antonio.

Maintenance Technician Job Duties:

• Repair dock doors; including overhead doors, high-speed roll-up doors, and coiling doors
• Restroom maintenance
• Pump maintenance, greasing, lubrication
• Basic electrical troubleshooting of assembly line equipment, etc
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on equipment and have the ability to troubleshoot equipment that does not require a special license or certificate

• Be available to work weekends/evenings/holidays
• Must have basic knowledge in ALL 3 of the following areas:
  • Electrical: Working knowledge of 3 phase 480v electrical and control wiring, as well as, electric motors
  • Hydraulics: Working knowledge of hydraulic circuits, valves, pumps, and cylinders
    
  • Conveyors: Working knowledge of conveyor, gearbox repair, and how to replace bearings
    

This position requires you to perform tasks such as:

• being on your feet in a very warm, humid, manufacturing environment
• performing industrial maintenance repairs on manufacturing equipment and facility structure

• Must have reliable transportation to the Toyota plant TMMTX (This job is NOT on the bus line)
• All schedules for this position (full-time or part-time) can include mandatory Saturdays and/or Sundays
• Must be available to work any of three shifts that include weekends
  • 1st
  • 2nd
  • 3rd

• Must own or will purchase a pair of steel toe boots. (They sell them at Walmart and Academy.)
• Facial tattoos or piercings can be removed or covered during the shift
• Fit into a Tyvek/paint suit over your clothes between the sizes of Medium – 2X (Up to size 44 waist for men; 22 for women)
  
• Be available for orientation at the Snelling office one day during the week at 9 AM and be able to spend up to 3 hours completing the onboarding process
  

Once hired, must be available any ONE day during Monday-Friday to arrive between 6:30-6:45 AM or 8:30-8:45 AM at the Toyota Safety Trailer to be issued your safety sticker
