Position: TIG Welder
Industry: Manufacturing
Job Type: Temporary to Hire
Pay Rate: $21/Hr - $25/Hr
Available Schedule(s): Monday through Thursday, 5 am to 3:30 pm, possible Fridays
Location: Schoolcraft, MI 49087

TIG Welder Job Description:

Create quality welds according to blue prints (weld symbols).
Inspects welds for accuracy.
Prepare product to be welded by grinding, drilling, milling, tapping and cutting steel/aluminum parts
Change wire, welding, as needed.
Change gas tanks, as needed.
Will be required to cross-train as back-up in other areas of the plant.

TIG Welder Requirements:

High School or GED
Up to 50 pounds lifting requirement
General metal assembly environment, quality checks, reading work instructions
Monday through Friday, 1 st shift, with possible Saturdays

TIG Welder Preferred Skills:

2 years of experience working with TIG Welding
Good mathematical ability and ability to read and interpret blueprints.
Ability to operate precision measuring devices such as calipers, micrometers, protractors, and tape measures.
