1st Shift 6am M-F 2:30pm w/ 30 minute lunch. OT available per business needs, not guaranteed or required.
- Responsible for watching machines and processing knitted products throughout the shift. Frequent standing, stooping and kneeling, good eyesight necessary to inspect parts (employee will look for defects such as skipped threads in the knitting process). Basic machine maintenance throughout the day (refilling raw material, replacing broken needles).
- 2nd Shift
- M-F 2 PM – 10:30 PM w/ 30 minute lunch. OT available per business needs, not guaranteed or required.
- $14.16/hour – Shift dif of $.50/hour after training completed and moved to 2nd Shift.
- Training schedule is 6 AM – 2:30 PM, training expected to last 4-6 weeks dependent upon the candidate’s confidence.
JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for the daily operation and basic maintenance of the flatbed knitting machines; responsible for washing, drying, folding, and cutting of all knitted socks.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES OF THE POSITION:
• Daily operation of Flatbed Knitting Machines; set‐up, troubleshoot, daily maintenance and cleaning of all flatbed knitting machines
• Responsible for knowing/understanding all specifications to ensure parts meet all quality standards
• Responsible for washing/drying knitted socks
• Performs minor repairs on flatbed machines as needed
• Cross trained to set up all flatbed machines for all yarn types
• Responsible for inventory of department
• Responsible for keeping work areas clean and organized at all times
• Responsible for completing inventory of finished goods and supplies when required
• Mandatory participation in annual inventory as needed
• Other projects and duties as assigned
