Machine Operator

HireQuest Direct of Sioux Falls is looking for Machine Operators for a local client! This is a temp-to-hire position with full-time hours.

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for setting up, running, and adjusting manufacturing equipment to produce quality plastic film and bag products in a safe working environment. You will report to the Section Lead.
• Follow and support all Company safety, GMP, and HACCP policies
• Adjust a variety of equipment in a timely fashion to maximize yields
• Make minor repairs and aid in troubleshooting
• Perform required quality checks and understand quality standards
• Assist in packing as needed

Requirements:

• Three to six months experience working in a manufacturing-related field
• Understanding of air rings and extruders
• Ability to train new employees
• Ability to operator a fork lift
• Ability to use hand tools and measuring instruments
• Ability to communicate with people at all levels of the company
• Ability to read and understand work orders
• Ability to work independently
