- Assemble electrical and mechanical components, using a variety of hand-tools and power tools
- Prepare sub-assemblies and related parts for final assembly, using various machines and equipment
- Follow detailed engineering drawings and electrical schematics
- Work from bill of material (BOM) and shop floor routings to complete proper assembly
- Perform quality inspection and test operations, including troubleshooting equipment and process failures
- Maintain all company tools and equipment
- Maintain a neat, orderly, clean work environment
- Cross-trained to assist with all aspects of Shipping and Receiving when needed
- Perform any and all other productionduties as assigned by your supervisor
Educationand/or Work Experience Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to understand, read, and follow instructions in the English language
- Ability to interact with peers in a positive, professional and productive manner
- Capable of working independently in a fast-pace environment with solid communication skills
- Strong mechanical aptitude, including experience reading mechanical and electrical schematics
- Working knowledge of and ability to use mechanical, electrical and measuring tools, including experience with hand tools, air tools and power tools, including nail guns, power drills, power saws
- Previous forklift, scissor lift and crane experience preferred, and must be willing to get certified
PhysicalRequirements:
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance
- Ability to lift or move up to 75 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds, using proper lifting techniques or other available resources such as lifting or moving equipment or help from another employee
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, push and pull
- Comply with all safety procedures, including wearing steel-toed shoes daily, as well as wearing any other necessary PPE, based on tasks, which could include being clean-shaven for tight-fitting respirator use if cross-trained to paint or lining
