A prestigious law firm is looking for an Associate Attorney to join their team! The Associate Attorney will focus mainly on personal injury law. The Associate Attorney will be a motivated, highly focused, self-starter with the ability to work on their cases with little supervision.
The Associate Attorney will be responsible for:
- Providing legal support and guidance to clients from initial meeting through closing
- Advising clients on the best behavior while charges are pending, including confiding in family and friends and social media use
- Meeting with clients at the remand or office to critically discuss the case and strategize on how best to defend
- Finding ethical solutions to legal matters
- Communicating with clients to understand their legal concerns and needs to help provide them with essential pieces of advice
- Strategizing on how to resolve the clients’ cases in a favorable and cost-effective manner
- Enlightening clients about legal options and making them know the possible outcomes or threats
- Developing ideal arguments and representing clients in legal proceedings
- Staying informed about any current legislation
- Building trustworthy relationships with clients
- Preparing legal documents such as dispositions, pleadings, and contracts in a timely and accurate manner
- Assisting clients with the execution of agreements such as plea bargains with the regional attorney’s office
- Collecting retainers from clients and executing contracts
- Other duties as needed
The Associate Attorney will excel with:
- 5+ years of experience
- Florida License required, Alabama Bar license also preferred, or willing to acquire Alabama Bar License after being hired
- Trial experience is a huge plus
- Experience with Pre-Lit and Litigation plaintiff-based personal injury experience.
- Experience working in a law office
- Must possess excellent presentation and legal writing skills
- Ability to put in the necessary hours required to complete the assigned cases in a timely manner.
- Self-starter with the ability to complete work with little supervision or direction
- Must be able to adapt to the protocols and systems put in place by the company
- Ability to effectively manage a large volume of work
