An established, professional, yet friendly, tax and accounting firm are seeking an experienced Accountant to provide excellent client services. The Accountant plays a vital role in all the financial aspects of the business.

Knoxville, Tennessee

The Accountant will be responsible for:

Providing accounting assistance which may include recording client transactions, reconciling accounts, generation of client financial reports, and preparation of adjusting journal entries.
Providing client training in accounting processes and the use of software products.
Preparing client sales tax returns
Preparing client and county municipal business tax returns
Preparing payroll and tax returns and forms W-2 and 1099
Preparing client payroll
Preparing client annual reports, tangible personal property schedules, and other services as requested
Providing accounting assistance which may include recording client transactions
Reconciling Accounts
Generating client financial reports
Preparing client federal and state income tax returns as needed

The Accountant will excel with:

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
Accounting experience, 3+ years experience in client services-based accounting environment.
Strong computer skills: proficiency in fixed assets and tax software (UltraTax preferred), QuickBooks (a must), Xero (a plus), Excel, Word, ability to learn other accounting software quickly.
Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
Detail-oriented, organized, ability to work independently and to multi-task
Must be able to work efficiently
