Shipping Specialist

Summary:
Packing and shipping signage products produced according to procedure, insuring the best possible in transit results for outgoing packages to customers.
 Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Understand how to read production work orders which allows you to know what and how many items you are packing for each line.
• Understand how to package numerous assortments of product and insure it will be received in excellent condition.
• Build large wood boxes and crates using SOP's
• Fill out detailed packing lists for orders over $3,000 net pricing.
• Process packing lists for orders packaged, understanding when backorders are required if an order is not complete.
• Process UPS/ FEDEX/ and Common Carrier shipments in appropriate formats.
• Process end of day logs for each order shipped to keep daily shipping total.
• Assist marketing with packaging and processing bulk mailings.
• Understand safety procedures and take required precautions for each process requiring safety gear or equipment.
• Other duties as assigned.
