HVAC Foreman Sheet Metal Foreman: Level 1

Job Requirements:
Successfully mastered all general job requirements for Sheet Metal Apprentice and Journeyman.
Must be hands on and participating in physically installing product on jobs daily
Must hold a ‘Journeyman’ card or equivalent experience
Must be able to perform work from ladders, mechanical lifts, or in opposing spaces
Possess mechanical aptitude
Maintain a great work ethic with the desire to advance professionally and personally
Must have reliable transportation
Ability to maintain a positive and trainable attitude while functioning agreeably with different individuals from other levels of work
Must attend company training as provided
Be able to work flexible hours depending on project requirements. (Standard hours are 7:00am to 3:30pm. Some overnight and out of town work may be required)
Must own or purchase necessary tools as skill level advances to match job requirements Must be willing to continue education through available company and industry training
Primary Responsibilities:
Possess the skills, knowledge, and craftsmanship to complete most types of commercial or residential projects including new construction, tenant finish, and remodel in a professional manner while staying within in the budget.
Willing and able to share and contribute to the knowledge of the Apprentices and Journeymen.
Must be able to read and interpret blueprints as well as specifications and submittals accurately. When reading blue prints, you must be able to set/mount equipment, rough-in and trim duct systems, ‘B’-type and PVC venting, piping, low voltage and control wiring for units, set all units and fans, ERV’s, dampers, actuators, furnaces, fan coils, heat pumps, condensers, and have a working knowledge of mechanical code.
Should have knowledge of basic HVAC systems layout and duct design.
Be able to read and interpret product installation, engineering, and owner’s manual prior to equipment installation.
Must be able to turn in accurate duct make-up as well as material lists to the shop in a timely manner.
Delegate work accordingly to the Journeymen and Apprentices, as well as manage work hours efficiently.
Must oversee and ensure that all safety rules are being followed at all times.
Must be able to complete accurately and turn in daily reports in a timely manner.
All employees are accountable for safety and health and are permitted to stop work if an unsafe condition is present. Employees should immediately notify their supervisor so that the potential hazard may be contained or corrected.
Physical Requirements:
Work outdoors or indoors with dusty, noisy, and hazardous materials.
Work in high elevated places, tight spaces, confined areas, and other adverse locations.
Climb, balance, squat, kneel, and crouch.
Willing to work in all types of weather year-round.
Ability to lift and/or carry up to 75 pounds.
