Job Summary:

Seeking an experienced Solid Works/ AutoCAD Drafter to work with our team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Create detailed drawings with Computer Aided Design (CAD) software/Solidworks
• Effectively communicate with Manager to CAD/Solidworks required plans
• Ability to create bill of materials
• Ability to work with customer provided templates and drawing standards
• Ability to QC existing work prior to submittal to Manager
• Skills:
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and File Management
• Promotes and supports a Lean environment.
• Conforms with and abides by all corporate and site specific regulations, policies, work procedures, instruction, and all safety rules.
• Exhibits regular, reliable, punctual and predictable attendance.
• Performs other duties as assigned based on business needs.

Education and Experience:

• 2+ years of Solid Works / AutoCad experience
• Formal Training in Mechanical Design, Auto Cad and Solid Works
• Solid experience in dimensioning, tolerancing, 2D drawing, 3D modeling and Assembly

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Must possess an acute attention to detail
• Must have excellent work ethic and habits including dependability, punctuality, and time management skills
• Hands-on experience with AutoCAD software
• Good math skills
• Detail oriented
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Ability to effectively communicate with Manager, Engineers, and other team members
• Must be able to train and guide others as required.
• Must be able to read and write in English

Physical and Travel Requirements

• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to effectively communicate with team members on the work shift
• Must be able to gown into required clothing for a controlled clean room
• Must also be able to tolerate industrial odors and smells on a frequent basis
• Travel is <5% as needed
