Job Summary

As the IT Manufacturing Systems Administrator, you will oversee the day-to-day operations manufacturing execution systems of a high-tech manufacturing facility including but not limited to the support of laptops, desktops, workstations, scanners, barcoding and label printing equipment and their interaction with a cloud-based enterprise resource planning system. This will provide you with a great opportunity to learn and work with various technologies with high visibility to the manufacturing operations of the business.

Job Tasks

  • Provide support of Windows 10 and O365 for end-users and manufacturing systems
  • Support imaging and deployment of PCs and Workstations for end users and shop floor systems
  • Collaborate with engineering and other support teams to solve complex problems
  • Interface with manufacturing business owners to collect requirements for new shop floor systems
  • Assist in the migration of existing shop floor solutions from a legacy manufacturing system to a cloud-based enterprise resource planning system
  • Quickly respond to requests, incidents and changes logged in global ServiceDesk system
  • Execute and provide feedback for operational policies, procedures, processes, and standards
  • Lead and manage projects related to shop floor systems and end computing devices
  • Ensure 100% user satisfaction by providing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and timely resolution of more complex problems
  • Ensure all operational processes are clearly documented and maintained
  • Participate in support of global service desk issues when necessary

 



Preferred Skills

  • 5+ years of experience in information technology
  • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Must have experience with desktop technologies
  • Must have experience with Microsoft and Linux operating systems
  • Must have experience with bar-coding, label-printing and other wireless shop floor technologies
  • Must have experience with printer and print server administration
  • Must have experience with Windows PC and server patching (WSUS/Intune/SCCM)
  • Must have experience with Microsoft Active Directory user + group management
  • Coordinates with MES software supplier in the configuration, set-up, and implementation of the MES system.
  • Performs troubleshooting to determine problems in non-functioning equipment.
  • Performs lot/serial number tracking/traceability
  • Prefer experience with Oracle Cloud ERP or Oracle e-Business Suite manufacturing concepts
  • Prefer experience with Active Directory domain administration
  • Prefer certifications in MCSE or O365
  • Strong knowledge of networking concepts such as DNS, DHCP, HTTP, SSL, and TCP/IP protocols
  • Experience with ITIL based concepts including request, incident and change management
  • Familiarity with cloud-based ServiceDesks like ServiceNow, Zendesk, Freshworks desirable
  • Demonstrated excellence in customer service and customer focus.
