ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Select and cut material according to process sheet and/or prints
Transfer programs between computer and CNC machine
Sets up CNC machine according to manufacturing instructions
Starts and observes machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, and adjusts machine controls as required
Completes in-process part inspection as required by the print and accompanying documentation
Deburr machine parts with files and/or scrapers as required
Operate drill press and/or hand tools to complete secondary operations
Verifies conformance of finished parts as required by print and accompanying documentation, utilizing measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers and gauges
Perform general maintenance and cleaning of CNC's tooling, and fixtures
Completes appropriate paperwork to keep manufacturing instructions up to date
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure in English and Metric, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Have the ability to compute percentages.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
