Sewer Machine Operator

Professional experience:

 § Prior experience with Sewing Operations in anindustrial setting. Including experiencewith various cutting, sewing, and finishing machines.

§ Prior experience with textiles fabric cutting,fabric sewing, and memo samples, in a fast-paced environment and serving highend customers.

§ Willneed to have experience with overlocking (surging).

§ Must beable use the regular sewing machineas well as overlocking machines.

§ Need tobe able to thread the machines (3spools required for overlocking process), apply oil to the machines andchange the cutting blades on the machines as well as do some minortroubleshooting.

§ Shouldbe able to list all equipment (including brands) that they have experiencewith.

§ Prior experience inhome furnishings, textiles, and wallcoverings, preferred.

§ Familiar with inventoryand warehouse management concepts and systems.

§ Strong math skills.Some college level coursework preferred.

§ Excellent computerskills, preferably in an AS400 or Infor environment.

§ Must be able to use MSOffice especially Excel and Word.

§ Outstanding follow-upskills.

§ Must be able to workflexibly within the distribution center’s hours, currently between 7am and 6pmeastern.

§ Team player with can-doattitude who loves interacting with people.

§ Problemsolving/analysis.

§ Self-motivatedself-starter.

§ Excellent verbal and writtencommunicator.

§ Effective use andmanagement of time to accomplish goals and tasks.

§ Detail oriented. Ability to pay attention to theminute details of a project or task but can move very quickly.
