Summary:
Fulfills the daily activities of supply/product distribution for Materials Management. Maintains inventories, places orders as needed, and prepares appropriate reports and documentation. Valid North Carolina driver's license required.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Include the following
- Ensures that all Materials Management supply replenishment objectives are met
- Performing inventory cycle counts
- Maintain accurate inventory of Materials Management storeroom items
- Receives and accurately processes all deliveries and shipments; communicates errors or backorders to the Director of Materials Management.
- Maintains established par levels in all areas campus-wide that receive and store medical supplies, replenishing supplies to each area as scheduled.
- Picks up supplies/purchases using company vehicle when necessary.
- Maintains and observes all department policies, procedures and internal controls
- Providing support on diverse projects for other employees and internal controls
- Providing support on diverse projects for other employees as needed
- Assists in Print Shop as needed
- Assists in Mailroom as needed
- Other duties may be assigned
- Supports ensuring excellent customer service to stakeholders. Attends and completes required training sessions
Education and/or Experience:
High school education or equivalent, inventory control experience preferred
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Working knowledge of inventory control techniques
- Working knowledge of personal computers, i.e. Microsoft Office
- Ability to exercise judgment and discretion
- Practices and encourages correct safety procedures
Physical Demands:
Attention to detail and prioritizing deadlines. May be required to work overtime. The majority spent walking, standing, bending, and stooping. Required to lift 70 pounds. A minimal amount of time spent on a personal computer.
Work Environment:
May be exposed to adverse weather conditions during delivery or receiving of shipments. May be required to work in an area with numerous interruptions from telephones and walk-in traffic.
