RESPONSIBILITIES
· WORK WITH ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONIC TECHNICIAN REPAIRPERSONNEL, OPERATING PERSONNEL AND OTHER MAINTENANCE PERSONNEL TO ANALYZEPROBLEMS AND TO REDUCE OPERATING DOWNTIME.
· WORK CLOSELY WITH OPERATING PERSONNEL TO SOLVE PROBLEMSOR TO IMPROVE OPERATING EQUIPMENT.
· MAINTAINS ADEQUATE ELECTRICAL SUPPLIES, EQUIPMENT ANDTOOLS.
· REPAIR DRIVES, ENCODERS, PLC AND HARD DRIVES THAT AREREQUIRED.
· READ ELECTRIC AND ELECTRONIC SCHEMATICS AND RESOLVE TROUBLESHOOTING.
· WORKS WITH 480/240/110 VAC.
· KNOWLEDGE ON INSTALLATION AND TROUBLESHOOTING OF ACMOTORS OF 3 PHASES AND MONOPHASE.
· SUBMITS REPORTS CONCERNING THE CONDITION OF EQUIPMENT ANDTHE NEED FOR REPAIRS OR REPLACEMENT.
· INSTRUCTS ELECTRICAL REPAIR PERSONNEL AND OTHER PERSONNELON HAZARDS AND MECHANICAL, PNEUMATIC AND HYDRAULIC SAFETY PROCEDURES.
· REPORTS UNSOLVED PROBLEMS OR CHANGES IN EQUIPMENT ORMETHOD OF OPERATION TO THE MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR.
· ATTEND SCHOOLS, CLASSES, MEETINGS OR SEMINARS RECOMMENDEDBY OR SCHEDULED BY MANAGEMENT.
· ASSIST IN SIZE CHANGES WHERE REQUIRED OR REQUESTED BYOPERATING MANAGEMENT.
· UNDERSTAND AND FOLLOW COMPANY RULES AND REGULATIONSCONCERNING CONDUCT.
· UNDERSTAND AND FOLLOW FEDERAL, LOCAL AND COMPANY SAFETYRULES AND REGULATIONS.
· ACCEPT ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITY AND ASSIGNMENTS FROMMANAGER OR OTHER SUPERVISOR, WHICH MAY NOT BE SPECIFICALLY LISTED IN THE JOBDESCRIPTION FOR THIS POSITION.
· MAINTAIN ADEQUATE ELECTRICAL SUPPLIES, EQUIPMENT ANDTOOLS.
· SUBMIT REPORTS CONCERNING CONDITION OF EQUIPMENT IFREPAIRS OR REPLACEMENT ARE NEEDED
· INSTRUCT ELECTRICAL REPAIR PERSONNEL AND OTHER PERSONNELON HAZARDS AND ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONIC SAFETY PROCEDURES.
· REPORT UNSOLVED PROBLEMS OR CHANGES IN EQUIPMENT ORMETHOD OF OPERATION TO THE SUPERVISOR.
· PERFORM PREVENTATIVE AND CORRECTIVE MAINTENANCE TO ALLELECTRICAL OR ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT THROUGHOUT THE PLANT.
· RESPONSIBLE FOR COMPLETING ANY ASSIGNMENTS GIVEN BYSUPERVISOR, EVEN THOSE ASSIGNMENTS NOT SPECIFICALLY LISTED IN THIS JOBDESCRIPTION.
QUALIFICATIONS
· HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATE (GED ACCEPTED)
· TRADE SCHOOL OR INDUSTRIAL APPRENTICESHIP IN ELECTRIC OR ELECTRONIC TRADES.
· AT LEAST FIVE (5) YEARS EXPERIENCE AS A JOURNEYMAN ELECTRICIAN OR ELECTRONIC TECHNICIAN.
· ABILITY TO OPERATE AN INDUSTRIAL SYSTEM COMPUTER.
WORKING CONDITIONS
· WHILE PERFORMING THE DUTIES OF THIS JOB, THE EMPLOYEE IS REGULARLY EXPOSED TO MOVING MECHANICAL PARTS AND OUTSIDE WEATHER CONDITIONS. THE EMPLOYEE IS FREQUENTLY EXPOSED TO WET AND/OR HUMID CONDITIONS AND FUMES OR AIRBORNE PARTICLES AND RISK OF ELECTRICAL SHOCK. THE EMPLOYEE IS OCCASIONALLY EXPOSED TO HIGH, PRECARIOUS PLACES; TOXIC OR CAUSTIC CHEMICALS; AND VIBRATION. THE NOISE LEVEL IN THE WORK ENVIRONMENT IS USUALLY LOUD.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
· THE EMPLOYEE MUST REGULARLY LIFT AND/OR MOVE UP TO 25 POUNDS, FREQUENTLY LIFT AND/OR MOVE UP TO 50 POUNDS, AND OCCASIONALLY LIFT AND/OR MOVE MORE THAN 100 POUNDS.
