Shipping/Receiving
Snelling is seeking a Shipping & Receiving/Driver to join a team in the Birmingham area! You will start by working in the warehouse helping with receiving, picking, stocking, etc to learn the company products. You may assist with driving to deliver and pick-up goods as needed. You will then transfer, once trained, to Customer Service Associate where you will serve as the primary contact for customers for ordering, returns, etc.
Pay to start: $15.00-17.00/hr to start, depending on experience
Responsibilities for Shipping & Receiving/Driver:
- Deliver products to local customers in a timely manner
- Load and unload vehicle
- Assist with Shipping and Receiving
- Collect on unpaid orders and shipments
- Inspect and monitor delivery vehicle
- Maintain accurate inventory of packages and materials
- Warehouse cleanup, as needed
- Provide quotes to customers based on salesmen requests
- Follow up on customer calls and emails
- Process orders
- Follow up on backorders and shipping requests
- Problem resolution (pricing, shipping, etc)
- Process quotes and orders
Qualifications needed for Shipping & Receiving/Driver:
- MUST have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
- 2+ years or more of inside sales, customer service experience required, experience with a manufacturing company a huge plus!
- Must be comfortable on the computer; entering orders, looking up part numbers, emailing customers
- Ability to handle physical workload
