Quality Assurance Technician

Snelling Staffing is looking for a Quality Assurance Technician in the Round Rock, TX 78664 area.

Pay: $18-20/Hr DOE

Shift: D-Shift: Thursday Midnight-6am, Friday-Sunday 6pm-6am

Summary of Primary Responsibilities:

Inspection, Testing and Certifying Products.

Inspection and testing of Products:

Performs mechanical, visual and destructive in-process inspections based on published control plans.

Performs hourly production line checks with emphasis on visual, cosmetics and trimming operations.

Performs finished goods and WIP final pack-outs and inspections prior to shipment

Enters test and inspection and multiple test results into multiple data bases, including but not limited to, static load certifications tester and MPS (Mattec)

Creates and audits shipping labels, product certifications and other supporting documentations.

Assists Quality Manager and Process Engineer with product quality dispositions and First Article adherence.

Training Production Operators:

Assist with training of production Operators to ensure Product Quality; such as techniques, special instructions, and standard operating procedures and production First Article adherence.

Assist in training for identifying technique best practice for trimming, torching, stacking and packing out.

Department Performance Tracking and Reporting:

Assist Quality manager with ensuring 24-hour dispositions and 72-hour movement of products placed in Quality Control.

Ensure re-work, scrap and any other relevant quality data is reported to shift supervisor and quality manager.

Skills and Aptitude:

Visual and color acuity; Manual dexterity in order to use precision measurement and test equipment.

Able to lift/maneuver 30 pound fixtures used for destructive testing throughout the shift.

Proficient with digital and analog Calibers, height gauges, micrometers as well as digital scales such as a spectrophotometer

Able to be active and stand up for up to a 12 hour shift in a non-conditioned warehouse/industrial environment.

Functional knowledge of MS Office, Excel, MS Word, PCs, Tablets and Laptops.
