Job Description
The role
As a Seeds Skateboarding Instructor, you will be responsible for leading and coaching specialized classes and programs that require technical skills and honed experience to inspire students of all ages in their discovery of skateboarding. You’ll join a passionate team excited to show Hong Kong that skateboarding is for everyone.
Responsibilities:
Supervise and ensure safety of participants at all times
Coach skateboarding in group and one-on-one settings in programs set out by Seeds
Prepare and provide structured lessons to students in accordance with their adopted skating programs
Provide group, semi-private, private, and walk-in skating lessons at The Seeds on schedule
Conduct regular assessments & testing of beginner and intermediate levels based on The Seeds testing standards
Develop the skater's technical ability, confidence and enjoyment of our sport
Provide general office administrative work and clerical supports
Assist with program planning/development and review
Perform ad hoc duties
Assist students with the proper fitting of their safety equipment during lessons.

Requirements:
Aged 18 years or older by employment start date
Any combination of education and experience equivalent to an F5 / high school diploma
Minimum of three months of related experience instructing/supervising individuals in the specialized class OR a minimum of two years of experience participating at a high level in the specialized skill/class in a competitive and/or organized environment
Strong fundamental skill set in Skateboarding and be able to demonstrate and break down the required fundamental skills
First Aid qualified for current CPR/First Aid certification from a Hong Kong-accredited organization, e.g., St. John's Ambulance or Red Cross
Skateboarding Coaching certification or equivalent preferred
Good command of spoken and written English, Cantonese, and Mandarin
Must be able to work a flexible schedule that may include early mornings, weeknights, weekends, and holidays
Good PC knowledge (Microsoft Office word and excel)
Strong sense of responsibility, proactive, energetic, pleasant and customer-oriented
Training with international skateboarding certification will be provided and compulsory.
Diploma in sports and recreation management or relevant disciplines is an advantage but not a MUST.
