Veterinary Assistant / Receptionist

Animal Hospital looking to fill 3 positions. Salary based on experience from $12 per hour to 18 per hour

General helper / kennel helper.

This is a position involving animal husbandry. It is NOT a lowly position in our hospital. It’s a critical and respected one. It involves cleaning and feeding pets and general hospital maintenance / cleaning work. The applicant must be able to work independently and be reliable. The position also entails helping the technicians and the Doctor as well. It can lead to a technician’s assistant position if the applicant shows a capability for it.

Receptionist.

A position at the front desk scheduling appointments, communicating with clients and organizing the interactions of the reception and medical /surgical aspects of a full service animal hospital. Computer skills at the operator’s level are important as well as a pleasant demeanor and ability to work with the public.

Technician.

A Doctor’s assailant. Experience is a plus but we will train the right person. Skills needed or those that will need to be acquired are running laboratory equipment, administering medications, attending anesthesia, phlebotomy and patient records maintenance.

All positions will earn paid vacation, and health insurance. With the hospitals Blue Cross / Blue Shield group plan.

Our hospital is not a corporately owned one. You will not suffer that environment here. We do not work on Sundays or past 5 on weekdays. The doctor’s philosophy is that veterinary work should be fun and for those willing to work it will be.
