Foreman

Responsible for all press room operationsequipment and personnel during their assigned shift
Reports to Plastics Division Manager
High School Diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 3 years molding experience and supervision
Monday - Friday
Openings on 2nd and 3rd shift
Salary Range: $40,000 - $55,000 depending on experience

RESPONSIBILITIES:                

1.   Supervisionof all personnel assigned to their department/shift including job assignmentsto ensure quality product is molded on-time and according to schedule. Assign personnel for the following shift.

2.   Assist3^rd shift Group Leader with the start of their shift.

3.   Approvesand submits employees’ time cards to payroll daily.

4.   Ensuresemployees are following all procedures and safety rules when performing jobs.

5.   Ensuresemployees have the necessary supplies and tools available to perform theirjobs.

6.   Approvesmold sets prior to the start of production.

7.   Performsregular press rounds to review part quality, tooling condition, machinecondition, and proper mold sets to ensure that production standards(productivity and quality) are being met.

8.   Ensuresmolds are properly cleaned, waxed, lubricated, by Molding Technicians.

9.   Assistmolding technicians with trouble shooting the process to eliminate scrap andoptimize efficiency.

10. Advisemaintenance of equipment problems/repairs required with written MaintenanceWork Orders.

11. Advisetool shop of tooling problems/repairs required with written Mold Work Orders.

12. Ensurespress room documentation (Set-Up Sheets, SOI’s) are accurate.  

13. AdvisesQuality Manager in writing of any changes required, and drafts new documentsfor new part numbers.

14. Ensuredepartmental housekeeping is always in order and all areas are neat and clean.

15. AdvisesDivision Manager of Cost Savings Ideas on a weekly basis.

16. Responsiblefor weekly and monthly physical inventory of press department items.

17. Ensurecompliance with the Union Contract.

18. Performother assignments and tasks as requested by management.

2.   Mustbe able to be on feet for 8 hours
